Next time I could add more descriptive words and some better language features. What feeling did you infer from my text?

My mind was full of panic, I was very stressed. I had my speech ready to say to the whole school at assembly, while the sweat on my palms and it was as if the seconds before my speech were like waiting hours.  When the Principal called my name, everyone could smell the sweat from my nerves. I stepped up to the stage in front of the whole school while shaking, because everyone could see the pain I was feeling while saying that speech. As I said my speech about how the school impacted in my life, although I was stuttering and you could barely hear a word I said.  After the speech I could feel my nerves fade away, even though the speech wasn’t good at least it was done with and over.

Cell Phones Are Staying

In Room 6 we had to do a Persuasive Writing piece about if cell phones should be banned at school or not. WALT : Use our prior knowledge, along with information to the text to interpret abstract ideas, complex plots and sophisticated themes.
What I enjoyed : I enjoyed learning about the facts of cell phones.
What I need to work on : Adding more complex sentences.
What I have learnt : I learnt that cell phones motivates people to learn.

Cell Phones Should Not Be Banned In Schools

Dear Jacinda Ardern,

Do you think cell phones should be banned at school? In my opinion I think that cell phones should not be banned at school, to prove my point I will explain my ideas to you on why they should not be banned. Because in this day and age students in schools definitely need their cellphones at schools, cause every week something terrible has happened at a school on the news.

The reason why I think that cell phones should not be banned is because if there is an emergency, you will have to call your parents or your family members. Some people might say that your school could just call all your parents and inform your family, but what if your school is very large how are they going to call them all in time. Although if you have your cell phone you could inform your loved ones quick so that they could come pick you up, as soon as possible.

I strongly state that if you have cell phones at school, there might be cyber bullying. To prevent that you could lock down all social media such as Instagram, snap-chat, Facebook, and discord. So I think that schools should let you use your phones for only calling, taking notes for your work and for using apps that have nothing to do with social media. If you are somehow caught using social media there will be bad punishments like having to sweep the whole school.  During class time each class teacher can have a draw where they put all the students cell phone, because after school they can take them back home with them. If you think that someone might steal your cell phone they will not because there will be a lock on the, which the teacher will only know where the key is.

Also if you can’t remember your schedule you can write it on your cell phone, all you have do is write it on your notes or set off a reminder for each class. If you don’t have a computer for research for school purposes you can ask the teacher to use your phone to research and to do your work online. In fact using technology motivates students to learn.

To conclude it all up, I strongly believe that cell phones should be allowed in schools . Because in society today nearly everyday there is an emergency at schools. In New Zealand, we have a risk of an earthquake and what will happen when you can’t can’t inform your parents in time.

Back to Reality

Blake was a normal kid, who never slept and was always awake,
He felt an ache,
He was playing cricket
When he found a ticket,
Blake wished he would win all lot,
And go to his favourite shop,

Later that day he realised he had won he flew up in the sky, with happiness he shaked,
To celebrate he had a chocolate cake,
His life was as sweet as a biscuit,
Blake felt proud because everyone said he would never have any money and make it,
The leaves dances in the wind as he screamed “I hit the jackpot” !
Straight away he bought a robot,

All the money he bought a prodigious 10 million dollar house and everyone was amazed,
But then Blake felt a strong headache,
It was as fast as a cheetah running for its pray because in less than a minute,
He felt sad because he had no money, he missed it,
Blake thought of his good old simple life as he walked through the parking lot,
He did not even like all of his fancy coats,

It felt funny the Earth started to shake it was an Earthquake,
But then Blake realised he was in his bed, when he heard his mum yell out “Blake”
There was no more happy spirit,
But at least Blake still had his favourite sport and his special trumpet,
Blake was thankful because he still had his bed his special spot,
Also his cute pet Goat,

Blake went to the lounge and smelled buttermilk pancakes,
Then it all came back to him he felt the same good old Blake,
He was overjoyed because all he needed was his family, and he didn't miss a thing,
He was back to reality and the alarm clock started to ring,
So he rested in and turned off the clock,
As he lay down he thought my dream had an awesome plot,

Family Fun

In the Easter Holidays all I did was lay in bed until like 11am in the morning, watch TV, play games and eat food, I did not do anything fun or interesting until Friday in the second week, when I went to spend my money at Riccarton mall.

On the first week of the holidays I watched a lot of Netflix shows and I did some extra housework to get $50 dollars. My chores I had to do were very hard but it was all worth it at the end.

In the second week of the Holidays I went to Riccarton Mall  with my mum to spend my money at about 10am. When I arrived the mall was really full and extremely clamorous, I sometimes hate shopping because it always an aggravation. When I was at Kmart the line was so long it took us about 10 minutes for it to be finally our turn to be at the front of the line. All I bought was art supplies, I only spent $20 dollars because I wanted to put the rest in my savings. Even tho I’m not great at drawing I want to learn to be a better drawer. Then after I shopped we sprinted out the shop as fast as a Cheetah running in the wild. Straight when I got home the first thing I did was practice some drawing.

Later that day at about 4.30pm me and my family went to Hoyts Riccarton to watch a movie, my mum picked the movie which was Peter Rabbit, I wanted to watch another movie at first but the movie turned out great and really interesting. For food we just bought popcorn and drinks.

To describe my Holiday in one word it would be enjoyable, because I spent most of the Holidays relaxing. One day working very hard, and shopping. I really appreciate spending  time with my loved ones. I will defiantly remember this amazing experience.
